Brown and Kirby Ltd values the younger generation and currently have 3 apprentices that are taking courses at Leicester College.

We currently have one joinery apprentice, one bricklaying apprentice and a business administration apprentice.

Brown & Kirby fully supports them in gaining the qualifications needed to work within the construction industry and take pride seeing how much they have developed over the course of their apprenticeships.

We want our apprentices to have the best possible training for their career development, as they could be the next generation of joiners, bricklayers, office employees, site managers etc. we really want them to get the best opportunities.

We have also previously had students come into our office for work experience. This is a great experience for those wanting to get into the construction industry or even office based admin work.

Brown and Kirby Ltd have been so supportive throughout my apprenticeship so far and have given me so many amazing training opportunities. They’re always keen to hear what I’ve been learning at college and are always willing to help me out with any college work. We’ve already started looking at what options are available to me after completing my course and you can tell they really care about your education and development.

Millie Ball- Apprentice Business Administrator, Brown and Kirby Ltd

Starting an apprenticeship at Brown and Kirby has completely changed my view on work. I was previously an operative for another company but was keen to gain a qualification in the construction industry. I have gained so many new skills from my colleagues already and am keen to start my college course in September.
